IMPLEMENTASI SISTEM MANAJEMEN LINGKUNGAN ISO 14001:2015 DALAM RANGKA PENGELOLAAN INDUSTRI PEKEBUNAN BERKELANJUTAN (STUDI KASUS PADA PABRIK KELAPA SAWIT PT. X)

Abstract

1. X Is a company engaged in oil palm plantations with a plantation area of 9,444.80 Ha in North Kalimantan, in addition to oil palm plantations PT. X also has a palm oil mill with an area of 50.73 Ha. PT. X has committed to environmental management and monitoring in the palm oil mill area, as stated in the Environmental Impact Assessment (AMDAL) document. The purpose of this research is to determine the extent of the implementation of the ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system carried out by Palm Oil Mills at PT. X. The methods used in this practice include data collection and conducting observations and interviews regarding conditions related to the implementation of environmental management of PT. X as an effort to find the results of the management of the ISO 14001: 2015 Environmental Management System. From the results of observations, interviews and then evaluations, that the Crystal Palm Oil Mill of PT. X does not yet have procedures or programs in the implementation of the ISO 14001: 2015 environmental management system. There are several documents included in the ISO 14001: 2015 clause, namely organizational structure, commitment to environmental aspects by managing and monitoring the environment, obligations to laws and regulations, having operational control procedures, conducting waste treatment (liquid, solid, and LB3), SOPs for emergency readiness and response, improving human resources by participating in training, monitoring and measuring employee performance, internal and external communications, and a review of environmental management and monitoring.
